#AOTM137: Jacob Miller – Healing of The Nation

2nd December 2014WORDS: Papa B

This pulsating and timeless roots track was one of the first reggae tracks I ever owned on an old scratchy 12″ compilation, which belonged to my parents. It is a perfect taste of Millers distinctive and infectious vocal style and certainly played no small part in my education in reggae music. It is still one of my favourite roots, rock, reggae anthems to come out of Jamaica in that period in the 70’s where Marley was moving to the UK and the music really started to go global. It is also (in what is sure to be a massively controversial statement), my personal favourite Ganja anthem, which had to earn it’s place in my top tracks from Miller! Enjoy this one and feel free to burn one, as long as your not at work, or in front of a policeman.
